LRI or Limbal Relaxing Incisions are done to correct corneal astigmatism. They flatten the cornea and help achieve better vision without glasses. They can be done at the same time as cataract surgery or at any time.
TORIC INTRAOCULAR LENS can be placed at the time of surgery to correct corneal astigmatism. It is easy to use and does not require corneal incisions at the time of surgery. This provides an effective and dependable astigmatism correction. The direction of astigmatism is identified, marked and the lens is lined up with the astigmatism marks and the effect is accomplished. If the astigmatism is quite large the Toric lens can be combined with LRI incisions for a greater effect.
